Only 1 Ohio Charter School student joined the military in 2024-2025

Meanwhile, in the so-called "socialist" or "anti-American" public schools, about 1 in 5 of all school districts had at least 1 student enroll for military service.

Why are Ohio’s Charter Schools so anti-American?

I mean, how else can you view them after state data released today shows that they could only convince 1 out of 4,676 students to join our nation’s military? I mean, according to President Donald J. Trump, Charter Schools and Vouchers are the “pro-American” response to the “anti-American” teachings of the country’s public schools, right?

What bullshit.

Look, I know it’s tough to get kids to enlist. Even in Ohio’s public school districts, only 20 percent of school districts got at least one student to enlist. But some districts got lots more than that. For example, Hamilton City in Butler County got 24 students to enlist. Tiny districts like Monroeville and Williamsburg signed upwards of 7 percent of their graduating class. Even the most “woke” cities like Columbus got 11 kids to enlist.

Meanwhile, only 1 Ohio Charter School — Horizon Science Academy of Toledo — had anyone enlist. And they only got 1 of their 21 eligible to graduate students to enlist.

The other 43 Ohio Charter Schools with high school students eligible to graduate?

Goose egg.

I will say that the prior school year, Ohio Charter Schools had the same number of students enlist — one. So they’re staying consistent.

And significantly better than the 2022-2023 and 2021-2022 school years when zero — that’s right; not a single Ohio Charter School student enrolled in our nation’s military.

So, out of 18,872 Ohio Charter School graduates since 2021, a grand total of 2 — that’s T-W-O — enlisted in the military upon graduation.

I fully expect all those red-blooded Americans who denounced the “socialism” and “wokeism” of the public schools to be equally outraged that Ohio’s Charter Schools only sent 2 of 18,872 students into military service over 4 years.

Well, not really.

Because those who oppose public schools due to their “anti-American indoctrination” know what that claim is: Bullshit.

Pure, unadulterated bullshit.

And it’s time to call them out.
